The aim of this project was to design a gift to be sent to VIP attendees of an art show.

I chose the installation "For the Birds" at the Brighton Festival 2017 by members of the art collective Power Plant.

"As night falls, gather family and friends to embark on an enchanting journey into the Sussex woodland. Against a canvas of darkness and the sound of wind in the trees, you will follow a magical trail of beautiful and ingenious installations of light, sound and moving sculpture inspired by the world of birds."

As the key themes of the work are birds and illumination, my gift was a birdhouse filled with light which allows it to act as a projector to display the slides (presented in an egg-patterned wallet) with representations of the artists of Power Plant.  The birdhouse was minimally modified, with the hope that it could be put to use for it's intended purpose of providing a home for nature.

Also in the package was a cylinder, which appears to be made of eggshell and is filled with chocolate eggs.
